No to both of those, they both have longer fingers/toes.

Looks like decent size based on the Alder leaf nearby, my guess, and it's just that, is Bobcat.

Could have stopped to look at something, cats will often have their front feet side by side when they are checking something out.  Looks about the right size as well.  :dunno:  One of the more experienced trapper guys might have a better idea.

I'm trying to tell if there is a fifth toe showing, which would make me think marten.

Concur Loki. Wondering at what location he saw them, and, size!  The earth/ground consistency cones into play also. Claw marks oftentimes tell a tale. They just don't look round enough for bob kitties.

There could be a "thumb" on the right one.

Looks feline to me, foot slid forward slightly in shallow surface mud, elongating the pad and toe prints.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Pic was taken on the puyallop river bottom last week I didn't think it was a cat at first doesn't look like the right shape to me for some reason we have seen multiple cats in the area but they seem shy tried trapping them last year with no luck

At first glance it makes you think cat but I don't think so. I'm betting raccoon and I can't lose the bet because you can't prove me wrong.  :tung: :chuckle:
